*LLOYD MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL UNIFORM/CONTEST ‘DO’S AND DON’TS 2012*
1) All rules and regulations set forth by the Erlanger/Elsmere Board of Education are always in place when staff, students and their chaperones are acting as representatives of Lloyd Memorial High School Band. Also, refer to your band handbook for reference when needed.
2) All staff, students, and chaperones are to be treated and spoken to with respect.
3) Marching band/guard/drum major students are assigned an LMHS wind-suit, garment bag, shoe bag, LMHS uniform and hat. Students are responsible for the care and treatment of these items at all times. (Including but not limited to damage and items left in pockets.)
4) Students are fully responsible for proper hanging and returning of wind-suits, uniforms and hats.
5) Students are fully responsible for the loading and unloading of their instrument/guard equipment and uniforms
6) Damage to any instruments, uniforms, props, music stands, guard equipment. Etc... is to be reported immediately to the appropriate person.
7) While discouraged, there will be times that students will need to eat or drink while in uniform. All attempts are to be made to avoid spills and stains. If an accident occurs, Do Not attempt to clean it yourself, please advise a uniform parent immediately.
.8) Activities that are not directly related to Marching band are not to be done in any LMHS uniform. (Etc, playing football in the parking lot, running around, sitting in or under the box truck).
9) While in a wind-suit or in a band/guard/drum major uniform, students are not permitted to wear nail polish, ear rings, or any other visible piercing or jewelry. (No silly bands)
10) While wearing LMHS uniform hat, all medium to long hair is to be up and not visible.
11) Students are responsible for keeping their marching shoes clean and polished, prior to each performance.
12) Staff members and chaperones are not responsible for any personal items that are left in pockets, on the bus, at competitions and/or in the bandroom.
The LMHS Band Boosters are here to assist the music program, by helping with financial support, encouraging and inspiring students, and committing to community service through volunteering of personal time.
The staff and chaperones are here to assist the Band Director with the teaching, teamwork, organization and safety of all students. Please allow them to do their job so that every student has the chance to learn and grow
